Crash involving ambulance, motorcycle and truck injuries five

Iowa residents understand that accidents can happen and could involve numerous vehicles. The magnitude of the collision could be something simple like a fender bender, which could result in little to no costs to the liable party. In contrast, an accident could also result in severe damage, serious injuries and even fatalities. These collisions could be the result of a negligent driver who might be liable for all injuries and damages that resulted from the incident.

Emergency crews were recently dispatched to a multi-vehicle accident that occurred in Gilbertville. The accident involved three vehicles including an ambulance, a motorcycle and a truck. The collision happened on Interstate 380 and required four ambulances and a medical helicopter.

According to preliminary reports, as many as five people suffered injuries in the crash. A female motorcycle was flown to the hospital for treatment for her serious injuries. It isn't clear what caused the accident at this time and the details surrounding the three-vehicle collision are limited at this point. One, two or all drivers could be found liable in the accident. Even in the case where an injured driver contributed to the accident, they could still recover some compensation for their injuries.

A person injured in a car crash could file a personal injury claim to recover a monetary award to cover the costs of medical bills, rehabilitation, damages and pain and suffering. Moreover, if they have an extended recovery period and need to take a leave from work while they heal, lost wages could be covered as well.

A negligent driver could seriously affect several drivers and passengers in an accident. Those affected by a distracted or negligent driver should seek assistance in filing a claim to recover from any financial burdens that resulted from the accident.
