According to the Iowa Department of Transportation, every year there are roughly 50 trucking accidents that result in death or serious injury. Among these accidents there are numerous common causes, including improperly loaded trucks, truck driver error and defective truck parts.

Evidence pointing to the long-term effects of concussions has resulted in more attention being paid to athletes, especially younger middle school and high school athletes. In an effort to try and reduce the long-lasting effects of concussions, the American Academy of Neurology just updated its guideline for the first time since 1997. These new guideline will replace the outdated ones put together 16 years ago.

Pedestrian accidents in Iowa can become quite tricky. The driver may be attempting to claim the pedestrian darted out in front of their car or that the runner improperly crossed the street. For the person who was injured, these types of accidents can also result in lifelong disabilities and ongoing pain.
