Developed and presented many workshops for various professional groups on Mandatory Adult Abuse and Elder Abuse.

Completed a four-month preceptorship with the Iowa Department of Elder Affairs (IDEA) September through December, 1987.

Funded for Master's Thesis by the Iowa Department of Elder Affairs.

Member of a work group (IDEA, Department of Inspections and Appeals, and Department of Human Services organized) examining training needs for dependent adult abuse.

Assisted with the Literature Review for the Report from the Governor's Task Force on Elder Abuse (February 1987).

Member of Iowa and National League for Nursing, Iowa and International Sigma Theta Tau, and American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants.

Board Member Iowa League for Nursing (3 year term starting 2004).

Developed and presented many programs on Legal Nurse Consulting for colleges, universities and other groups.

Reviewer for textbook Legal Nurse Consulting Principles and Practice (1998) by American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants.

Passed first certification exam by American Legal Nurse Consultant Certification Board to become one of the first Legal Nurse Consultant Certified (LNCC) in 1998. Recertified in 2003.

Elected to the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants Certification Board (3 year term starting 1/05).

Listed in Manchester Who's Who Among Executive and Professional Women in Nursing and Health Care 2005/2006.

Preceptor for numerous Bachelor’s and Master’s nursing students’ preceptorships at various educational institutions.
